The high rates of bankruptcies of drought-strickened, small farmers poses a unique challenge regarding balancing federal government repossessions of family-owned farms, ranches with the immigration reform policies and water restrictions. Switching them to entirely different crops, and livestock isn't realistic. This affects so many small farmers in Australia.
A longer-term, tax relief package needs to occur for small farms and ranches. I don't support the racist, classist, mortgage industry that lies to the federal government and causes a GFC/Great Depression. Is there a way to combine as many small farms and ranches together, in order for them to afford the required Obamacare healthcare insurance coverage for their families and all their loyal, impoverished migrant workers?
The Obama healthcare reform is going to bankrupt even more small farmers. This is critical, for the IRS, Small Business Administration, USDA to assist in another manner. The loss of their small banks' charters adds to this over-burdened demographic's financial challenges.
Can the federal government donate 4-H equipment, livestock, secure tax-free livestock feed for five years, and defer all interest from the real estate loans for that term? The small farmers could switch to another crop, e.g. bioengineered, faster growth, drought-resistant corn, and sugar cane for biofuel production with federally-subsidized scholarships, training and equipment.
