Updated: To ADHD ADULTS: A Good ARTICLE LINK: FIRST, just read my blog posting.

http://psychcentral.com/lib/15-adhd-friendly-tips-to-fire-up-your-focus/00010767

Excellent article, and I will add:

1. Get a feminist, LCSW/licensed, clinical, social worker with the state's highest CAC (addiction specialization certificate) for yourself, whose office is within a 50 mile radius of your home. Make an appointment with them once per week, for an hour per talk therapy session.

2. Meditation helps, so consider Thich Nhat Hahn's book, "How To Sit." Write the title and author's name down on a lined, yellow, post-it, sticky, notepad, in all block, capitalized print, and then, just bring it to your public librarian.

3. A weekly, two-hour, personal assistant  (a professional banker/accountant/financial planner/C.P.A.), and another, weekly, two-hour, Visiting Nurses' Association home visit is critical for your well-being also.

4. In Denver Metro/Lakewood, Colorado, consider getting your groceries and household items delivered to you from King Soopers, in winter and spring times. If you have a pregnancy, a child, or children, do this year-round, to reduce your stress-load.

5. Make easier-to-prepare meals, such as a healthy, soup (reheated from a can), a whole-grain sandwich and fresh salad are excellent every single day for lunch, or early supper. Breakfast cereal can just always be a 4 cup bowl of Total cereal with UHT, skim, Lactaid/Horizons UHT milk, and a four cup, whey protein, yogurt, banana shake.

In the middle of every table, and desk should be a box of (30 gram protein/bar), diabetes-friendly, protein bars, and filled, fresh fruit bowls, for healthy snacks three times per day. Please keep a packed protein bar in your vehicle, and/or backpack/backpack purse at all times, with a clean, filled, reusable water bottle with a water filter. REI carries them.

Dinners: Try to get quick, easy, healthy dinners. It's okay to buy those Lean Cuisine, or frozen burrito dinners too. Eat dinner every single day though. Include sodium-free, canned spinach, pre-cooked, canned, 98% fat-free turkey, pre-cooked, canned, healthy salmon (in water), and whole butternut squash in your food pantry.

6. Try to join a three times per week, free, safe, two-hour, ADHD support group, only in-person, not online. This can include walking together with wrist, and ankle weights, while discussing self-esteem, your feelings, and positive self-talk.

7. Have a feminist, primary care physician (M.D.), and a board-certified, psychiatrist (M.D.) both of whom specialize in ADHD, and addictions. See them once per month, for a full hour, each time, at their offices/clinics.

8. If you have a safe, nurturing family member who wants you to live with them/take care of you, first check to see if they also truly safe for you with your own intuitive, smart, financially literate, empowered self for ten hours, by writing down lists of pros and cons on a lined, yellow, legal pad, that's legal-sized, one hour per week, for ten weeks.

Then, consider that together with your social worker (L.C.S.W.), and two medical doctor. Please, bring along your legal pad and show it to them,  also. Together, you will go over only the cons/disadvantages with them. To make the final decision, ask a private investigator, used by your local, district attorney's office what they think, and order a 10 years' worth (from now to ten years ago), credit report, drug test, and criminal, background check on the family member in question.

9. Ask an attorney to draft the financial obligations for living together with this family member, after showing them everything from your private investigator, a letter signed by your  private investigator, your social worker, your two medical doctors, and have the financial obligations contract signed by both parties, yourself and your family member. In Denver Metro, and Boulder Metro, I recommend:

http://www.calderfamilylaw.com/

Stephen Calder will know how to properly draft, record the agreement being signed with video camera, a biometric, retinal scanning of both parties, and a notary public, in case the agreement goes to your assigned district court (assigned by him, your attorney) for legal enforcement/court-approved, wage garnishments.

Boulder's (Boulder, Colorado) District Court is probably best, or more feminist, since you're disabled. This gives you a video camera DVD, with visual, and audio proof of any verbal/oral agreements, and written contract for the district judge. You should get the DVD notarized and dated by a public notary at his office, witnessed by him, with a signed affadavit by him also. Keep a record of everything in a Chase bank security deposit box, immediately afterwards.

***Best to also have two, feminist witnesses who are C.P.A. best friends with you, if signing any financial contract, and disabled.***

***Anytime you're worried about something, try to ask yourself if this is something that all: General Schwartzkopf's spirit, the Joint Chief Chairman's spirit, all four-star, female, U.S Generals' spirits, and Reverend Jesse Jackson's spirit would want for you, in your own best interest? Assign those spirits, in your mind, as your "guardian angels spirits" also. Try to journal, AND artfully blog to these "guardian angel spirits" online.***
