I bet this recipe could work for all those invasive species, if they're safe for consumption. Wels catfish can be made into cilantro-lime-corn salsa, fish tacos. The boneless fillets should be soaked in buttermilk, for 24 hours, refrigerated. That will get the strong, musky scent out of the fillets.
***I hope the U.S. military chefs are buying these invasive species, to feed the troops. Bon Appetit has excellent recipes. Make sure everything stays refrigerated/frozen, gets batch tested for toxins, parasites. If they hired reputable, Japanese sashimi, sushi chefs, the seafood would prepared safer, and taste better in Hawaii.***
Lionfish are invasive in some areas, but can be edible. The problem is lack of portable refrigeration units, in small fishing boats for the poor. Those need to be donated by the NRA, and Alaskans (impoverished, Inuits) need to have many other supplies, including bear gun safes, locks, etc.
