Unsupervised Children in Evergreen, Colorado

At approximately 3:45 pm, a group of five, Caucasian boys, aged 10 - 12 years old, darted across Evergreen Parkway, into traffic, towards the Buchanan Park/grassy field. There was a sports event being held there. One was holding a medium green-colored hockey stick. They were in tee shirts and shorts. There was traffic on both sides of the parkway. They were also unsupervised. They could get hurt, if left to run across the Evergreen Parkway, to their sporting event. After (Evergreen High School teenager) Colin's death in a tragic, fatal SUV accident that hit his car nearby, we need to be more careful about who gets to organize these children's sporting events.
