This one may be safer (less of a fire hazard) than the standard brooder heat lamps. Of course, electrical wiring issues related to rats, mice, and rabbits can also cause chicken coop/barn fires. The chickens and ducks can peck through/damage the wiring also, causing an electrical fire.
It would be better to go with an inspection from a private, experienced, consultant firefighter to get recommendations on upgrading to a high-pressured, indoor, smoke/explosive gas-activated sprinkler system, better fire-resistant insulation, walls, floors, doors and roofing materials. Also, they can recommend landscape designs for fire-proofing around the coops/barns.
