The following spinal cord and paralysis treatments are needed for our wounded veterans, especially the ones who also desperately need wheelchairs and prosthetics:
Epidural stimulation & physical therapy combined together (recently proven to dramatically benefit those who have been paralyzed for years to move their legs finally)
Brachial plexus reconstructive surgeries
Nerve transplantation surgeries
Nerve reconstruction for phrenic nerve injuries
I wonder if we could have them treated by the privatized sector's expert surgeons and get them the finest nerve transplantation and epidural stimulation in the country?
If there's a chance that we could help them walk again, it wouldn't be right if they weren't approved for the cutting edge biotechnology, surgeries, expensive nerve medications, smart wheelchairs and bionic prosthetics.
