When Saigon fell to the Communist Viet Cong, people who supported that flag were persecuted, even as they fled the supposed "re-education camps" run by the corrupt VC, with their families on fishing boats, by pirates at sea.
Today, I have a bright, saffron yellow scarf, the same color as the South Vietnamese flag that is no longer recognized by Jeffco School District.
Today, and everyday that I remember the violent racism, disablism, ageism, classism amd sexism that has occurred in my life, I will "go back" to my country, as instructed by these racist RRCC hate criminals. It doesn't exist and I am now a citizen of a made-up country, which I will call New Chork.
