Noticing criminal facial expressions, e.g. angry eyes is easier if you're as tall as they are, however, many, shy, Asian American and Hispanic American women are both petite in stature and culturally accustomed to looking downward, instead of directly at people's eyes. This means they are more prone to being victimized. Usually, it's okay to be polite, but safer if you're meeting their gaze, and looking more sternly if you notice "angry eyes, with possible concealed weapons/road-raging vehicle."
