DIARY ENTRY: THINKING IN AN IRANIAN ACCENT, WHILE WAVING MY ASIAN FAN MENTALLY:

THE CHINESE SAUSAGES FOR FRIED RICE CAN BE REPLACED WITH STEAMED/BAKED, EXTRA-FIRM TOFU CUBES. THE RICE CAN ALSO BE STEAMED IN FAT-FREE, REDUCED-SODIUM, ORGANIC, MSG-FREE, CHICKEN BROTH INSTEAD. I FOUND THE TOFU SUBSTITUTES QUITE UNAPPETIZING, WHEN I WAS RUNNING THOUGH.

AFTER AN HOUR OF RUNNING, I STARTED TO VIVIDLY FANTASIZE ABOUT STEAKS. EVEN WITH TWINLABS, DEBITTERED BREWER'S YEAST IN HOT COCOA, STEVIA-SWEETENED, WITH LIGHT, SOY MILK, THESE STEAK FANTASIES CONTINUED. AND UNFORTUNATELY, THEY STILL HAUNT ME EVERY HOLIDAY SEASON, WHEN IT'S NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION TIME AGAIN.

***THIS YEAR, I WILL TRY TO EAT WILD SALMON, QUINOA AND TOFU BURGERS, WITHOUT THE BUN, WITH TABBOULEH SALAD. THIS IS THE YEAR, I WILL ATTEMPT TO ELIMINATE RED MEAT, AND GREATLY REDUCE DAIRY FATS FROM MY DIET AGAIN.***
