Downeast Maine Bengali Panch Phoron/Bangladeshi Five-Spice Blend

Ingredients:

1 cup organic cumin seeds, fair-wage from India

1 cup organic fenugreek seeds, fair-wage from India

1 cup organic fennel seeds, fair-wage from India

1 cup organic nigella/kalonji seeds, fair-wage from India

1 cup organic mustard seeds, fair-wage from India

2 cups organic, melted ghee

2 cups organic, food-grade, natural, vitamin E oil, as a preservative

Directions:

Set the ghee and vitamin E oil aside. Finely grind the rest to a powder, stirring twice with a whisk. Then, add the spices, ghee and vitamin E oil into a blender. Blend everything on high fir two minutes. Finally, store it in a refrigerated, dated, labeled, airtight container or freezer Ziploc bag.
