Virginia & Appalachian Wild-Harvested, White Oak Acorns, Survival & Stranger Danger

White oak tree acorns:

-Remove the shells, then add to charcoal filtered, fluoridated, cold, safe drinking water, and boil it four times. Each time, drain the water, then add the acorns into the large pot again with new, fresh cold water to reboil. Use three parts water to one part acorns, shells removed. This process will remove the tannins from it, which make it too acidic to digest.

-Next, oven-roast the acorns for 25 - 35 minutes, at 325°F, preheated.

-Finally, grind the acorns into a carbohydate and protein-rich flour or paste, for campfire tortillas or dumplings for a wild-harvested stew.

If you need to actually eat acorns to survive, focus on getting help, not food first (signaling mirror, flares, a contained, wildfire-proofed smoking campfire, from your highest possible point, e.g. with burning car tires to create highly visible, black smoke through the heavily wooded/dense forest areas).

Stay positive (by controlling your negative thoughts) and remain solely focused upon getting rescued, or survival until you can get rescued. Consider if you can use your car and its battery to charge your cell phone. It's best to keep a self-charging, external, cellphone battery unit (always fully charged) in your car for camping, or long trips, along with a second, backup, charged cellphone with a long battery life rating.

Keep it in an water-proof, static-proof, plastic case, well-wrapped with a few, fire-proofed, thick, wool, cold survival blanket, to prevent movement/impact/breakage, and then store that case in a second, shock-proof, metal box. Get a CB radio professionally installed into your vehicle and learn how to use it to call local law enforcement for assistance also.

Keep a GPS navigator in your vehicle with updated maps, a reliable, shock-proof/impact resistant compass, and a hardcopy, detailed map book of the area. Never go camping alone. Bring along three other trustworthy, stable, healthy-living, wholesome friends, ones without any criminal record, including juvenile crimes, clear of any drug, gambling, sexual, porn or alcohol addictions.

They should never have behaved verbally, physically or sexually abusive to you or anyone. They should not stalk, act controlling, grope, bodily shame, bully or violate your civil rights/freedom to be your own individual. They should be well-known, well-respected in the community and to yourself, for at least a full year, prior to any camping/long-distance trip. If you do not want them caregiving for any small, blind, minority children in wheelchairs, then avoid them at all costs.

Observe how they treat poor, minority, female children and low-level, customer service staff. You can reduce your risk of being slipped chloroform, tranquilizers, roofies and scopolamine this way. Don't ever impulsively join with out-of-state, traveling carnival workers/"carnies" or accept invitations to places such as Carnival's singles' cruises, or Las Vegas, Nevada.

Some cruises (with cult leaders pretending to be life coaches, or motivational speakers) may take you out of the country, with a large amount of criminals, roofies, tranquilizers, scopolamine and illegal weapons on-board. Pedophiles, con artists, human trafficking pimps (both male & female, sometimes with child slaves, and/or adolescent prostitutes) frequently are attracted to cruises with a predominantly female, elderly and/or small children demographic, such as Disney, makeover/plastic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, medical spa, yoga, pilates, gourmet foods, vegan diet, arts/crafts, ballet, drama/musical play, classical music or opera-themed cruises.

The medical and law enforcement staff may not be competent, or ethical on-board. The untrained, unguarded, unarmed, disorganized cruise ship can also be overtaken by organized pirates, or terrorists, looking for ransom, human slaves, or just to commit brutal violence against your country. If your cruise ship has a religious theme, this increases the crime and terrorism threat.

You should see armed, ex-military, private security guards, 24/7, who are both males and females on every floor of the cruise ship. They should be mostly over age thirty, with at least ten years of security experience, not appear drugged/inebriated/emotionally unstable (Jekyll and Hyde/violent)/gangster-like to you ever, look very physically fit, have highly visible, identifying name and photo badges, portable communications equipment, armed with a real handgun, not just a taser, and well-fitting uniforms, ideally.

If their uniform doesn't fit them well, they may well be impersonators. The men's faces should always be clean-shaven, fully visible, non-tattoed, definitely matching their recent/current photo badges, without gold/platinum teeth, without tongue piercings, without dilated pupils, without facial hair such as goatees, and without any facial piercings, including nose piercings, large earring holes filled with oversized plugs or nose rings.

On or off-duty, they shouldn't ever be: brawling, abusive, stalking, drooling, staggering, slurring their speech, speaking too loudly/quickly (crack-addicted looking), twitching/scratching incessantly, pacing in an extremely agitated manner, pranking others, or unneccessarily causing you fear for fun.

They shouldn't be asking for your phone number, stroking you, or invading your personal (touching shoulders with you), imvading your bathroom, or living spaces unnecessarily. They should never be seen partying or drinking alcohol with/somehow endorsing people who look like strippers/prostitutes/porn stars, or sexually molested adolescent runaways/minors.

People around them (coworkers, friends, family, or spouse) shouldn't look abused/neglected/roofied/inebriated/drugged against their will/criminal-looking either. People around them shouldn't suddenly be passing out, needing to be carried, while sitting/standing next to them on a regular basis, for instance. There should be a drug and bomb-sniffing canine unit on board at all times, if leaving the country.

Survival, Continued:

***Below is a link about using your car or motorcycle battery to charge your cellphone, but it requires many tools that are frequently not available in emergencies.***

If you need to spend the night, stranded by a car accident, then remove, or tear out your car upholstery to insulate yourself in cold weather, and stay within your vehicle to avoid getting more lost, the wildcats and bears. Try to keep dehydration, hypothermia, mosquitos, chiggers, ticks, wasps, hornets, bees, snakes, wildcats and bears in mind. Focus on getting & staying well-hydrated, and warm. Consider melting snow for water, but make sure you bring it to a full boil and let it cool completely. Then, repeat that four times, to kill any microbes or parasites.

If your car rolled over in a rural ditch, after hitting a white-tailed deer, for instance, then focus on your ABC's first: airways, breathing and circulation. Before you pass out from any blood loss, try to apply pressure to your closest artery. Consider applying a tourniquet to yourself, especially before you lose consciousness.

Try to keep all your wounds covered, and disinfected. Without stitches or first aid glue, you can cauterize a bleeding wound closed, for example, a serious wound where your finger, arm, or leg is almost/completely severed off. For that, you will need to first tourniquet yourself, then try to heat up something metal, like an ice axe blade in a wildfire-proof campfire, so that it's extremely hot. Use that to burn the severe wound closed.

If your arm has come out of its joint, which is extremely painful, by the way, definitely guide it back into its socket. You will have to focus on each present moment, in a logical, detached, clinical manner, with controlled, deep breathing, to prevent losing consciousness from the physical pain, stress, and emotional trauma. If any leg, or arm is broken, you will definitely need to make yourself a stabilizing splint and possibly crutches or walking sticks, to climb or walk for help, and to use in case you encounter wildlife dangers. The snakes and spiders should also be avoided by staying away from tall weeds and overgrown, grassy areas.
