Easter Egg Soaps From Donated, Plastic, Easter Egg Containers

Reuse donated plastic Easter egg containers by turning them into affordable handmade soap molds. Drill a 1/4-inch hole into the top centers of each plastic Easter egg container.  This requires a donated power drill with 1/4-inch drill bit. Paper funnels are needed to pour the melted soap bases into each Easter egg mold.

You can also use real, raw eggs, but then you'll have to blow the raw eggs out (a salmonella bacterial infection risk) and freeze the soap-filled egg molds without cracking them, which is more challenging for the latchkey orphans.

Donated Supplies Needed (order everything in bulk, sales tax-free, free delivery fees, with the assistance of your local politicians, who can arrange for the Costco and Sam's Club corporate sponsorships):

48 Donated, plastic Easter egg containers, or at least four egg containers per child
(Check the thrift stores' toy sections for materials)

Donated, pasteurized, organic, non-fat milk powder (to turn it into a sensitive-skin soap base), goat's milk-based to balance the pH, 4 tsp per soap egg

Pure, unscented, organic glycerin soap bases
(melt-and-pour), donated. For 48 children to receive four soap eggs per child, we'll need 1 pound of pure glycerin soap base, only the easier melt-and-pour type, per 2 children. That equals a total of 192 pounds of pure glycerin soap base for 48 children. It'll needed to be purchased in bulk, in order to save per pound and for the bulk rate delivery fees.
